June is over and winter is in full force. It’s a little chilly here in our hometown of Hobart!
Speaking of home, you might have noticed that The Big Milkshake has slightly changed. We have moved away from our WordPress website and made a home on Substack. Content won’t change, all our posts are still accessible via the web at thebigmilkshake.co or blog.two19.co and our monthly updates will remain on the last day of every month.
What this change does mean is that we can offer our monthly update direct to your inbox. You can sign up to receive these updates using our signup form.
Over the past few months, we have spent some time rebuilding the Kingless website. While we are not quite ready to launch just yet, we are really happy with how the new site is coming together.
Stay tuned for an announcement when we are ready to go live in a few weeks’ time!
We love experimenting with new ideas at Two19. In-between game development, we are designing and testing lots of new and exciting products. Many don’t get to see the light of day for various reasons, but some really get us excited.
Something you might not know, Alex and I are both experienced leathercrafters. We’ve often toyed with different ideas in this space, but something we have been working on lately (and having a lot of fun with!) is dice bags. I wanted to share some early prototypes with you.
Each dice bag is hand-made, from premium materials. We are not set on a final design at this stage, but what do you think?
The Hobart Games Society (HoGS) is hosting its annual Geek Quiz fundraiser on the 7th of July. Two19 will be at the event, offering up some juicy prizes, as well as joining in for the quiz. It’s going to be an awesome night, if you are local and interested in coming along, check out the HoGS website for more info.
If you missed it last month, we enlisted the help of the amazing Tim Chuon at the Dice Tower to put together a How-to-play video. We think he absolutely nailed it. You can check out the video on the Dice Tower’s YouTube channel.
That’s it for this update. I’d love to hear your thoughts on our new platform for The Big Milkshake and how we share our news with you from now on.
As always, feel free to reach out any time, or find us on all the social pipes! @kinglessgame and @two19_
See you for the next edition!
